Digital illustration is the process of creating images directly under the artist’s control using digital technologies. I get to design a narrative visual that tells a tale, evokes a feeling or mood, or promotes a theory or thing. Receiving a creative brief from a customer or employer, doing research and gathering references, designing and delivering the first pass, making necessary adjustments to the image based on client notes (if any), and providing the finished artwork are all part of the process. It’s quite satisfying to observe excellent outcomes for both sides.
